Early registration is advised. Actors will be emailed sides at registration or required to have 1-2 min monologues prepared and performance ready at start of class.  Because of the curriculum actors are expected to be off book. Shiek reserves the right to excuse actors from the class with out refund if any actor(s) attends unprepared.

Shiek Mahmud-Bey is an award winning Actor/Director/Producer/ Teacher. With over 30 years in the business, Shiek has starred opposite some of the industry's A list actors. Such as Samuel L Jackson,  Marcia Gay Harden, Joaquin Phonix, Edd Harris, Scott Glen, Morgan Freeman, Robert Deniro, Ving Rhames to name a few. As a director Shiek's goal has been to create and direct character driven movies that entertain and challenge thought. Shiek is known to invest in his students. "Casting is 90% of a great movie if I train actors, I want those actors in my movies, I know they can deliver''

  

Shiek also teaches Directing, and Producing in the masters program at New York Film Academy and Directing at BAFTA.  Shiek is founder and CEO of 25th Frame Films & the CharActors production companies which are consistently creating projects. It presently has three movies in the film festival circuit, Two web series and a movie in post while Shiek is in pre production and development of the horror movie "Variant".
